Gaithersburg, Maryland – August 28, 2020 – HESS Construction + Engineering Services, Inc. (HESS) has been recognized as a winner of the 2020 Greater Washington Area Best Places To Work, an awards program presented by the Washington Business Journal (WBJ).

Select employers from the Greater Washington Area were named winners of the awards program, held on August 20, 2020. These winning organizations were honored during a virtual event for having created exceptional workplaces that their employees’ value highly.

The award recognizes companies’ achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions and company culture. HESS ranked #21 out of 30 in the large company category. ​

WBJ recognized 110 companies that scored the highest among over 400 organizations that applied. Companies were evaluated and ranked across 5 categories according to the number of Greater Washington Area employees.  The ranking found companies in the region whose employees rate them as the highest on such values as fun, collaborative culture, solid compensation and benefits offerings and other amenities as well as management practices.
