The “Law Mall” is situated on an 8.7 acre parcel of land in the City of Frederick across from the Department of Public Works Building. The new 62,595-SF, three-story administration building houses three separate entities: the administrative and operations functions of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland State Police Barrack B and the Frederick County Emergency Communications Center (911 Center). Each law enforcement agency has separate office and administration areas, but shares the patrol area, detention area, crimes lab, and conference and interview rooms. Adjacent to this building is a 6,000-SF vehicle maintenance building used by the sheriff and state police. A 100 ft. independent radio communications tower for the state police is enclosed by secured perimeter fencing at the rear of the complex.
