A total reconstruction of the 50-year-old, five-story McGivney Hall included the creation of classrooms, faculty offices, department suites, fixed-seat auditorium and ancillary lounge. The building houses the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family and sits east of the Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, a notable international landmark. Restoration was made to the exterior limestone along with the addition of sloped glazing at the ground floor areaway, foundation waterproofing, and the relocation of the Father McGivney sculpture.
