Project Description:
The occupied, phased renovation and addition of Montgomery College’s Student Affairs and Science Building – Germantown campus featured three separate phases of renovation, implementing temporary measures to allow inhabitants to occupy the north section of the building without disruption. This project also featured an addition of a third floor to the existing two-story edifice directly adjacent to the occupied structure. Significant MEP upgrades and tie-ins were required to connect this building to the existing campus grid. The building includes two physical science laboratories, two landscape laboratories, four separate engineering laboratory spaces and three physics laboratories (astronomy, electronics and mechanics).
